V Carbon

Finding the fast runners nobody has signed yet — service restoration in progress

Status: restoration in progress

The V Carbon service is currently down and is being migrated onto our current infrastructure. Its data is intact; it is frozen at its last refresh rather than lost. We are saying so because V Carbon has a paying customer, and a status page that pretends otherwise helps nobody.

What it does

Every shoe brand knows who the sponsored athletes are. The useful question is the inverse: which genuinely fast runners are not currently under contract with anybody? V Carbon ranks distance runners by actual race performance and cross-references public information to work out who is unsponsored — turning a roster into a scouting list.

It is the athlete vertical of the KAMERA research engine: the same entity-research machinery that powers our other intelligence products, pointed at sport.

How it works

Performance-weighted ranking

A composite score across marathon, half marathon, 10K and 5K results, weighted 40/25/20/15 so that the marathon leads without drowning out shorter-distance form.

Sponsorship inference

Public sources cross-referenced to classify athletes as sponsored or unsigned, with hand-correction of false positives rather than blind trust in the automated pass.

A free-agent view

The product's reason to exist: the ranked list filtered down to athletes who appear to be available.

International coverage

Athletes across 22 countries in the working dataset, because the interesting unsigned runners are frequently not domestic.

A queryable API

Ten documented endpoints covering the leaderboard, free agents, and per-athlete history and context, so the data is usable from outside the dashboard.

Built on the KAMERA engine

Athlete intelligence is a domain configuration of the same research engine behind our patent and company-intelligence products.
